Primary PartnerCare is a primary care physician organization with over 20 care center sites across Nassau, Suffolk and Queens Counties. Use your practice management experience and education to train others to succeed! The Training Specialist will prepare employees to succeed in their job by planning and conducting, all Electronic Medical Record (AthenaHealth) and Value-Based/Population Health training on our proprietary software, as well as other operational training as necessary.
The Training Specialist will provide onboarding training in a classroom setting for all new employees, including intermittent assessments. Once the employee begins their new role, the Training Specialist may work with the employee onsite or remotely based on the results of the assessments. This position requires a high degree of independence and works cross-functionally with multiple departments to ensure that our employees have the training, understanding and support needed to perform their roles. You will become the subject master expert in the technology, workflows and operations of the organization.
In addition to the training and assessments, you will work with senior management to review and assess functionality for new releases, identifying training needs, creating the required training and performing the training. You will also work as the voice of the user when the software development team is proposing new functionality or wants to understand optimal workflows and use of technology.
You will develop and maintain all curriculum, such as training manuals, slide decks, tip sheets learning tools, reference materials and anything else to help our employees succeed. You will prepare and deliver presentations, demonstrations, train-the-trainer, and end user classes, with special ad hoc training as needed. You will work both with a high degree of independence and as a vital member of the team helping to grow and improve the department and create a company culture of continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
*Bachelor’s Degree preferred or Associates Degree with additional hands on experience in a medical practice
*General knowledge of clinical and practice management operations in outpatient medicine, policies, procedures and workflows
*5 years working in outpatient medicine; preference for primary care
*EMR and healthcare technology expertise; AthenaHealth experience highly preferred
*Demonstrated assessment skills and ability to create training materials and competency based tests
*Excellent organization skills to manage day-to-day operational tasks, establish priorities and flexibility to accommodate changes to priorities based on the needs of the company
*Ability to work with people from all organization levels, clinical and non-clinical
*Ability to keep a calm demeanor under stressful circumstances and when challenged
*Love of learning new materials and technology and then teaching it to others
*Positive energy and belief that you can accomplish anything you touch
*Superior presentation skills and writing skills
*Proactive listening skills
